Enphase is one of Revolve Electrical’s principal solar platforms for properties where panel-level conversion, flexible roof layouts and detailed monitoring are important.
Solar panels produce DC electricity. With Enphase, each panel connects to its own microinverter, converting that panel’s output to AC at the roof rather than relying on one central string inverter for the whole array.
Each panel operates independently. That can be useful on roofs with multiple orientations, different roof faces or partial shading because one panel’s conditions do not require every other panel to operate at the same level.
Compatible Enphase monitoring can provide visibility into individual-panel performance, making it easier to understand how different parts of the array are performing and to identify a panel or microinverter that needs attention.
Microinverters can be particularly useful where the best solar layout uses several roof faces or where a traditional single-string design would be more restrictive. We still model the roof and energy use before deciding whether Enphase is the right architecture.
Enphase can also form part of an AC-coupled solar-and-battery system. Battery capacity and backup capability are selected from the household load profile, resilience goals, available installation space and electrical configuration.
Future solar expansion may be possible, subject to available roof space, switchboard capacity, network requirements and product compatibility at the time. We can also consider EV charging and hot-water loads as part of the overall energy plan.
Neither platform is automatically best. Enphase can be a strong fit for complex roofs and panel-level operation, while Sigenergy can suit projects where solar, battery storage and backup are being designed as an integrated DC-coupled hybrid system.
